Efficiency is a Key Element in Solar Panels

Solar panels have become the new options for heating and for producing electricity.  It has become the trendy way of heating your home and powering electricity.  Solar panels that are efficient will save on the wear and tear of your system and will make it work better.  Also, make sure that your panels are installed properly and maintained.  Fasteners should be tightened and panels should be cleaned on a regular basis.

In the past solar panels have been a great concept but they were not so great at breaking down the multitude of energy that is produced by the sun.  Thanks to technology though, solar panels have become much more efficient.  Most systems of solar panels can now produce all the energy that is needed in a home to do things like heating water for the home, for pools, and producing electricity to run all electrical appliances.

One of the things that will help keep wear and tear of your panels to a minimum is a flow control system.  In older solar panel systems water circulates through the system more or less randomly so it takes longer for water to heat up.  In the long run, this means that the panels must heat up a larger pool of water that is really needed so it is less efficient.  Not only will you end up waiting longer for water to heat up but this results in more wear and tear in your system.

When the amount of water that needs to be heated is reduced the system becomes more efficient and that is the purpose of the control flow system.   It works on the basis of temperature differential strategies by using two sensors.  In order to heat the water or the liquid, the first sensor is located close to the panels that are going to be used.  The second sensor needs to be situated near the liquid return valve into the panel system.  While one sensor will measure the temperature of the liquid that comes into the panel, the other will measure the temperature of the liquid that is going to leave the panel.

When a temperature is determined and set by you, the flow system works by waiting for the liquid to rise to that temperature.  When the temperature that you have set is met, a circulation pump is turned on by the system. Then the liquid is moved to the location you want to use it at.  The pump will be shut off when the sensor knows that the temperature of the water that is return is in range of the liquid in the panel system.  Less energy is wasted, the system is more efficient, and you do not have to wait as long for hot water.

Many residents are using solar solutions to become more earth friendly.  In some countries, like Germany for example, big investments are being made into putting better solar panels into the reach of consumers.  Make sure your solar panels are efficient and effective by maintaining them on a regular basis.  Clean the panels, tighten the fasteners, and examine the area for inconsistencies.  Use a flow system to ensure that water gets heated up faster and there is less waste.
